My unofficial introduction to the wider world of anthropology began during my first year of volunteering for my local kids’ science museum Discovery Cube. Ever since then, I have not been able to stop myself from broadening my involvement in the teaching of the history of my local cities to guests through organizations such as HMOC and MUZEO. One of my primary motivations for getting involved in and learning more about anthropology is deeply tied to my own quest to understand who I am, where I live, and what I can do to further the development of my own community.
